Greetings Saints in His Perfect Peace,
You know we see new faces everytime we open. Today we had a woman and her 5 or 6 year old come in. They had just moved to Wichita from Salina. They enjoyed the Mission and we did have some food on hand to send home with them. from what I understand most foodbanks and feeding ministries in Wichita are hurting. The Lord is providing for us and I know we are supposed to be here. The New place is bigger... but just as I thought the bigger we get the more people....The needs are so great!
Someone has to care for the poor. I just do not understand why so many ignore their own neighbors...to a Christian it should be way up on their lists. I heard today how one Church is headed to Mexico to build houses for the poor there..That is a good thing...they do it once a year. But what about the people right here. I hurt so much for them..
On man's wife came back in and told be that I was right her husband is a diabetic..and the doctors say he will die without a kidney transplant...You see the Lord has had me in many different callings or gifts of the spirit but I think the Pastor calling is the hardest. You hurt when the people hurt and in what I do there is so much pain. I know most cannot understand it but I hurt really hurt and feel their pain. That is what real pastor's do...
I know we opened with 40 or more I gave up on counting as they are all in and out...The big print Bibles are over half gone and they cannot believe that they were so blessed with them! One went wow I can really read this!!!!!!!!!!!
You know no matter what we keep on going.
Still trying to get things done for the new kitchen.. I need someone to install or help me install a exhaust fan..I have not bought it yet as it runs about $65 but we really need it...
I have very weak breakers at the Mission. They are very old. I need some new ones in fact went driving around tonight to find some and no one seems to carry the old Federal brand, at least not at Lowes or Home Depot....Pray I find some these need done before thanksgiving...
So many people will come as they come for the family love. We really still need support for this. I have to get the fan and breakers fixed and we need food account money or food donations...
I really need to make a special trip to town to fix the breakers but that costs...Oh well I give it all to the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But this Thanksgiving when you are having all your favorite foods...consider the poor...everywhere not just in Wichita.....In a big city...think who just might be living under that bridge you just passed over.....
