Greetings Saints in His Perfect Peace,
We just found out that 60 blankets are on the way to us and will be here on October 25th! This is a great blessing and if they are the same as last years donated by the same people I think they ran about $10 to $11 a blanket. No matter what the cost they are very good blankets. May the Lord Bless this family for their kind donation! We were supposed to have 30 sleeping bags sent from another source but that has not happened yet, I am unsure of that progress.
Am I still worried about moving. Yes I have to start looking for a place we can afford. Worst case we could get a 30 day notice when we go to pay rent. I am going to start looking in for another place to rent. The Problem is that we cannot afford any higher rent. I know I can make the $375 a month no matter who donates as that comes from our family income, mom works and I have disability which is what we pay it out of. We cannot afford a dime more. The Lord can so higher rent would mean the Lord putting it on someone's heart to pay the difference, someone or a few people we could count on to send it everymonth.
I am hoping to find a place for the same rent! This the Lord can do! He can do anything.
You know little things make it fun around the mission. You se I get things like cup cakes and other little debbie snacks donated. They go into the freezer. Okay I decide we need to give some out. The freezer is up front in the corner. I just stand up there and pitch 30 to 40 cupcakes through the air to the people one at time. Why? Because there is hardly any room for me to walk to get around and hand them to the people. Some of the guys say " Pastor Dan, is the Iron monk" Some name from a karate movie....anyway we have fun.
I know the work we do is not by any means finished in Wichita or simply the Lord would tell me. I have a small congregation we teach which we call family. Like I say we are basically a Home Church with a building. And the building is our second home. So please pray for us.
Oh yes Tuesday there were a bunch of bars of soap brought in! We passed them out with some razors and they were much needed. The people were asking for tooth brushes! Coats, blankets....so still send your old blankets if you can! As many people that is on this list if just half sent one blanket or coat or even a tooth brush/toothpaste, a piece it would help. We had a few people send $10 to pay pal after the underbridge pictures were uploaded to the net! Thos people will be blessed as much as those sending larger amounts. Saint anything will help. No gift is too small.......
I would ask that any who care about this work to pray for us. Bills are also do and we need Gas donations very badly! The Lord has kept us here in Florence and or Mission in Wichita for some reason. We own this house we are in paid back taxes for it. If I had to rent I could not afford the Wichita Mission rent. So renting a place to live in Wichita is out of the question...and our old home here is too old and the market too low to sell to buy another home in Wichita so we must drive it.....So pray about supporting what we do.
