Everyday we are open we have more and more new people coming to us for help. We are gaining some local support for clothing. All seems like it should be progress.....going forward. Then last week we had the lady next door call the law and complain to the landlord. Problem, new people came and had not yet figured out the simple rules. Once told they got right inline. Meaning no wondering around the Hair care place next door and smoke on the east side stay off the sidewalk out front.
You see we are in a small store front with 6 other storefronts. The one on the east side is vacant. The one next to us to the west is where the problem started. You see she called the law and the landlord on us. While the police made no report and only came out. They really found no problem. She, the lady next door said she was sorry they stopped and got out as she only wanted them to drive through the parking lot.
of course this does not explain why she called the landlord and got our one only other neighbor to add to the complaint.
There was no reason for any of this. All it was there were new people there and we were jammed packed. When I and Richard found out we cleared the sidewalk and the parking lot and everything was under control...But it was never really out of control...Really. She tired with the other land lord to have us removed because she hated the homeless. They have NEVER in 2 years ever caused her any problems. She just does not like them best I can figure.
The landlord came and gave me a letter saying that I needed to keep the Homeless inside all the time and any more complaints and basically we are given notice to move. What he has said in the letter is impossible to keep!
So We can only afford to pay $375 a month rent. I need prayer badly to find another place or have the Lord throw a bucket of water on this so to speak.
We have been here since November of 2000, after the Lord kept me up all night to get me to commit to what we are doing. We have people we are teaching the word to a small congregation we call our family. As to me we are just a Family Church with a building and the building is our second home!
We need prayers badly as I am praying for direction right now.
The bills are also do and worst come to worst we have first and last month rent paid so we have a little time. But Saints we need a bigger place anyway. One where we will not be hassled. So pray about it.
Yes we need your help as mail in donations are down way down this month.....My heart breaks about this as these people need us. I do believe the Lord has it all under control. If we have to move he will supply the money...but looking at the letter we are going to have to move....most places want first month's last month's rent and want $700 to $1000 a month money we cannot cover....But we are still here!
We fed and clothed many today. Blankets, sleeping bags are needed badly as are coats.......gas donations..
Pray for us...
